2021 World PVNH Disorder Awareness Day

On August 7, 2021 we will celebrate the 10th edition of WORLD PVNH DISORDER AWARENESS DAY.  PVNH, GMH and SBH families and friends will virtually gather around the world to celebrate by sporting their brightest pink and yellow clothing or accessories for the PAINT IT PINK AND YELLOW campaign.  Starting on August 2nd, landmarks will once again light up pink and yellow (or pink or yellow, if only one colour is allowed) and governements will officially proclaim August 7 as World PVNH Disorder Awareness Day (see list below).  All to show individuals, young and old, affected by Periventricular Nodular Heterotopia (PVNH) and other neuronal heterotopia disorders such as Grey Matter Heterotopia (GMH) and Subcortical Band Heterotopia (SBH) they are not alone.

As landmarks and events are confirmed, they will be added to a list below. We invite you to join us and let your imagination roam free on how you will express your support. For more details, follow @PVNHday and @PVNHsupport and don’t forget to share your story in social media with photos and videos using #PVNHday #Paintitpinkandyellow #PVNHloud #PVNHawareness #SBHawareness

We could not make such a positive impact without the support of landmarks and allies around the world. Thank you all for being by our side on our awareness journey. Do you have a landmark (monument, tower, bridge, mall, city properties, places of workship, etc.) that lights up for a cause? Please let us know!
